Hello 2021!

Like many others we are glad to see the back of 2020 and welcome in 2021.

Although 2020 was a year of many challenges, it was also a year of great success with several new projects being brought on board and seeing the return of many past clients wanting to refresh and make changes to the spaces they were now spending so much time in. We also saw the almost seamless transition of our team working from the studio to working from their homes and how little things were affected whilst in lockdown. Of course selecting finishes and fabrics became a bit more challenging but for the most part we were fortunate to be able to keep the ball rolling on most of our projects.

Fast forward to 2021 and we are still seeing the momentum of last year continue with a lot of renovations on the cards and long standing clients reaching out wanting help with their new builds, renovations or simply adding a few extra touches.

We are excited to start the year by sharing a couple of special projects with you in two of New Zealand’s best publications, our Christchurch Central studio in the latest issue of Homestyle magazine and our Kaiteriteri project, ‘A Home at the Beach’ in the February issue of NZ House & Garden. Forever grateful for the support that we receive from these publications, please support those who support the design industry by subscribing, grabbing copies or by purchasing and reading online.

Looking forward to the year ahead with several projects set to be completed, launching our new website and welcoming our new designer, Sophie Doyle, into the Lume Design family.

Here’s to 2021 with hopefully a few less hurdles than 2020.
